Assorted Chocolate Chips
Assorted chocolate chips are small baking pieces made to hold some shape while softening in heat. Mixing semisweet, dark, milk, or white chips gives cookies, bars, cakes, and muffins a more varied chocolate flavor.
Identity
Baking chips
Use them when you want small, even pockets of chocolate.
Chocolate chips are shaped for baking, so they melt more slowly than chopped bar chocolate. Assorted chips can add contrast, but very sweet chips can make a recipe taste sweeter than expected. Fold them in near the end of mixing so they stay evenly distributed.
